ANIMATION DIRECTOR
“The star of the show is David Bunting’s delightfully smudgy animation, which, aided by James McKay’s art direction, looks like a picture book evocatively brought to life and is reminiscent of John Leech’s original 1843 illustrations while having a distinctive style all of its own.”

SEQUENCE DIRECTOR
“It is as if all experiences are within his gaze, and symbolically, everything is happening within that gaze”
In my directorial debut, I animated and sequence-directed ‘Strange Meeting’ for the TV short Wilfred whilst studying at Senior College, Dublin. Completed at Tandem Films, after long hours on ‘The Tigger Movie’, the film premiered at Cannes International Film Festival. To mark the centenary of Owen's death, I rescanned and composited ‘Strange Meeting’ in Harmony, including scenes that broke the computers back in the day.
